Qualifications

  • Valid California driver’s license.
  • NCLB-compliance: AA degree or 48 college units and/or passing of instructional aide eligibility test.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in universal social-emotional learning instruction and targeted Tier 2 interventions within the MTSS framework.

Job description

This position will provide support in the universal social-emotional learning instruction and targeted supports within MCUSD's MTSS Framework, which will include but not be limited to: collaborating with teachers with instruction and practices integrated into classroom instruction using data to identify students in need and designing and delivering targeted Tier 2 interventions aligned with MTSS framework. This positions are part of a 3 year grant and continuous is contingent on funding. This position is part of the Classified Employee Unit at MCUSD/MCOE and will be placed depending on experience on the Classified Employee Salary schedule on Range 14. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Education equivalent to completion of 12th grade and successful passage of the Instructional Aide test or meet the NCLB (No Child Left Behind Act) requirements for paraprofessionals (see below)
  • Valid current California Driver's license
  • Some positions within the classification may require other specific experience to assist in knowledge and/or skill acquisition
  • nclb (no child left behind compliant.)-would either need to have an aa degree or higher or 48 or more college units (towards a ba) (must provide unofficial transcripts attached to the application) and/or the passing of our district's instructional aide eligibility test
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous experience in the public school setting
  • Valid first aid care or certificate
  • Recent successful experience interacting with youth

This position is to serve a under the Student Support Services Department and work with staff/students at Greeley Hill Elementary School. Greeley Hill Elementary is a rural school located in the beautiful Stanislaus National Forest of northwestern Mariposa County, near Yosemite National Park. We are a K-8 school of approximately 80 pupils. The school was established in the early 1900s and reopened in 2015 as a K-8 elementary school.
