Job summary

FULBRIGHT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL in Little Rock, Arkansas seeks an Aide - Regular Title 1 Instructional to assist the assigned teacher and support staff within the instructional program. The role focuses on reinforcing activities, preparing materials, and aiding in classroom management in a Title 1 setting.

The position is a 9.25‑month, 184‑day contract with a benefits package. Selection based on experience; FLSA: Non-Exempt; starting date immediately.

Qualifications

Completion of 60 semester credit hours at a regionally accredited institution of higher education or Associate Degree or have passed the ParaPro Praxis Exam (457 or above).
Demonstrates competence for assigned responsibilities.
Computer technology skills are required.
Possesses positive interpersonal relations skills.
Commitment to the importance of confidentiality of records.
Evidence of a strong commitment to quality desegregated education.

Responsibilities

Reinforces instructional activities with students as prescribed.
Assists in the preparation of lesson plans and instructional materials.
Assumes responsibility for being prepared to perform instructional duties as prescribed.
Learns the curriculum content of the classes in which he/she assists.
Assists individual children in need of special attention.
Implements behavior management techniques.
Assists in data collection.
Assists the teacher with maintenance of the classroom
Assist with duties such as lunchroom, recess, bus, etc.
Participates in-services, staffing, faculty meetings, etc.
Completes daily work schedules as assigned.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
