Qualifications

• Minimum: Missouri substitute teaching certificate; 36+ college credit hours, or Associates degree, or 20-hour DESE sub training course.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree, Missouri teaching certificate, previous teaching experience, ability to work in a team teaching setting.

Responsibilities

• Providing individual and small group educational support.
• Adapting instructional programming under the direction of the teacher to support the individual needs of the student.
• Demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to provide support in any classroom or with any teacher as needed to meet the needs of students and the school.
• Reinforcing classroom management as directed by the teacher.
• Supervising students in non-classroom settings such as the lunchroom, playground, bus arrival and dismissal.
• Maintaining confidentiality of information about students and employees.
• Participating in appropriate in-service training.
• Maintaining attendance standards as specified by district guidelines.
