Job summary

Waxahachie ISD is seeking an Instructional Aide to support teachers with classroom instruction, student supervision, and behavior management. This paraprofessional role provides direct instructional assistance under teacher supervision, assists with materials, and helps create a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities include small-group instruction, data collection, campus collaboration, and participating in staff development.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Have met formal academic assessment, associate's degree, two years of study or 48 hours at an institution of higher learning.
• Paraprofessional Aide Certification required (can be obtained once employed).
• Experience working with students in educational or related settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional support under the teacher's supervision.
• Assist in instructional exercises and work with students in small groups or individually.
• Assist with classroom management and materials preparation.
• Conduct parent involvement activities and maintain records.
• Support with inventory and care of equipment and supervise students before/after school as needed.
• Assist substitute teachers and participate in staff development.
