Job summary

Cesar Chavez Foundation in Garden Grove, CA seeks an energetic Bilingual After-School Instructional Aide for grades K-6. The program runs in person Monday through Thursday from 3:00 PM to 5:45 PM, starting in September.

You will support teachers with literacy instruction, organize materials, track program data, and help foster a positive learning environment for diverse learners. Preferred qualifications include experience with K-6, bilingual authorization in education, and required clearances

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in grades K-6.
• Experience teaching literacy and providing accommodations to ensure student success.
• Bilingual authorization in education preferred; fingerprints, CPR, TB clearance, and mandated reporter training may be required.

Bilingual (In-Spanish) Elementary After School Instructional Aide K - 6th grade

JOB SUMMARY:

We have openings for Instructional Aides who are energetic, strategic, and highly organized. Through this After School Program, you will support teachers in instructing K-6th grade students in a Heritage Program with lessons provided by Engaging Hearts & Minds. Sessions will be in person and will begin in September. M-Th from 3:00 PM - 5:45 PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain all ethical practices of the Engaging Hearts & Minds by serving the community with integrity, dignity, and a high degree of professionalism.


• Implement the Engaging Hearts & Minds lesson plans, schedule, and calendars.


• Ensure all instructional space and materials are organized and conducive to a learning environment.


• Set healthy goals and behavior practices.


• Plan, implement, and evaluate all program activities and trends.


• Track and submit all data and reporting in a timely manner.


• Additional tasks may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working with students in grades K-6th


• Experience teaching literacy and providing accommodations to ensure student success.


• Experience engaging and motivating students in a classroom.


• Knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel), Google

QUALIFICATIONS AND DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

• Bilingual Authorization in Education preferred


• Fingerprints, CPR, TB clearance, and Mandated Reporter training must be met before assignment


• Applicants must be available to commit for the duration of the program


• Strong and energetic communicator

COMPENSATION RANGE:

Hourly rate $18.00-$25.00 based on qualifications, experience, and position Job Types: Temporary, Part-Time, In-Person
