Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc is seeking an After School Enrichment Instructor Aid for Newport Mesa Unified School District. The role supports elementary students in grades 4–6 at Whittier and College Park Elementary, with two weekday afternoons from 2:00 to 4:15 pm.

Responsibilities include assisting the instructor, administering progress checks, preparing lessons, and communicating with site leadership. Bilingual Spanish is a plus; applicants must meet licensing requirements and be at least 18.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in a childcare setting for 6 months to 1 year.
• Flexibility to work a two-day-a-week schedule after school.
• Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations.

Pay: $19/per hour

Location:

Grades 4th through 6th

Schedule: Two days a week, afternoon hours 2:00 to 4:15pm - No Weekends!

As the Enrichment Instructor Aid, you will:

• Assist instructor with elementary-aged students.
• Pre and post-testing implementation to evaluate student progress
• Lesson preparation and clean-up
• Effective communication with site leadership
• All other duties as reasonably assigned.

Requirements:

• Fluent in the Spanish language in both spoken and written form is a plus.
• Must have at least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a childcare setting.
• Must be at least 18
• Must have at least 48 completed college credits or have passed the paraeducator exam.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
• Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations.
