Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is seeking an After School Enrichment Instructor Aid for Newport Mesa Unified School District. You will support instructors with elementary students in after-school programs at Whittier and College Park Elementary.

This role offers afternoon hours from 2:00 to 4:15pm, two days per week, with no weekends. Ideal candidates are 18+, have 6 months to 1 year of childcare experience, and possess at least 48 college credits or have passed the paraeducator exam.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish is a plus for communicating with families and students.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in a childcare setting.
• Be at least 18 years old and meet state licensing requirements.
• Must have completed at least 48 college credits or passed the paraeducator exam.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to support program staffing needs.

Pay: $19/per hour

Grades 4th through 6th

As The Enrichment Instructor Aid, You Will

• Assist instructor with elementary-aged students.
• Pre and post-testing implementation to evaluate student progress
• Lesson preparation and clean-up
• Effective communication with site leadership
• All other duties as reasonably assigned.

Requirements

• Fluent in the Spanish language in both spoken and written form is a plus.
• Must have at least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a childcare setting.
• Must be at least 18
• Must have at least 48 completed college credits or have passed the paraeducator exam.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
• Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations.
