Job summary

Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is seeking an Instruction & Reference Librarian to support the Mark T. Coppenger Library. The role includes reference work, information literacy instruction, programming, and outreach to students and faculty on campus and online.

The position reports to the Dean of Library Services and requires experience with Canvas LMS and library databases, plus strong communication and organizational skills. Full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• Christian with high integrity and active faith.
• ALA-accredited MLS or willing to begin within one year.
• Previous library experience preferred.
• Ability to lead reference and information literacy services.

Responsibilities

• Provide reference and research services and maintain statistics.
• Develop and deliver library instruction using Canvas LMS.
• Create course guides and coordinate instruction with faculty.
• Plan programming and outreach to promote library resources.
• Assist at circulation desk and participate in staff meetings.
