Job summary

Schraad Sales & Marketing Food Brokerage is seeking a full-time in-store Sales Representative/Merchandiser focused at HEB in the San Antonio area. You will build relationships with store decision makers, influence displays during promotions, and perform general merchandising. Travel may be required within the SA metro area.

The role requires high school completion, reliable transportation, and strong communication skills; experience with HEB is preferred and you will use a tablet for reporting.

Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for influencing stores to order additional product and to display client products during key promotional events. This position also includes general product merchandising and addressing ad-hoc opportunities during the store call. Experience working at or with HEB stores is preferred. This individual will be responsible for a territory in and around the San Antonio Metroplex.Responsibilities and Duties:Build relationships in-store with key decision makers across all departments.Execute pre-planned and ad-hoc retail initiatives to maintain shelf integrity and support promotions.Use a company provided tablet to:Accurately report all work completed/store level actions, observations, photos, and issuesSchedule work assignmentsReceive work documentation and informationRecord work start and completion timesMaintain coverage every reporting cycle of assigned retail territory according to customer frequency plans.Attend resets and implement retail schematics as directed by the customer to meet the shelving plan, as required.Participate in team-scheduled tasks such as retail sales meetings and food shows, as required.Travel may be required outside the local area and include overnight stays on occasion for meetings and other needs.Qualifications:Must be 18 years or olderMust have access to a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and provide valid proof of insurance that meets company requirementsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredRetail sales/merchandising experience at HEBDecision and leadership skills, ability to be organized and detail oriented, and possess strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with Schraad staff and store personnelExperience and comfort with learning/using technology (Computers, Smart Phone, Tablets)Must have access to reliable high-speed internetPreferred Skills:Produce/fresh dept experienceRetail sellingBroker experiencePhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
