Job summary

Elgin Community College is seeking a part-time history assistant to support the college’s 75th anniversary project, updating the college history book. You will research source data, draft narrative passages, and create indexes.

Strong Word proficiency and college-level writing are required; suitable for students or staff. This on-site role offers a collaborative office environment and opportunities to contribute to campus history.

Job Summary:

Assist with updating the College’s history book in preparation for the 75th Anniversary of ECC’s founding. Research, analyze source data and develop historical narrative drafts, and/or create document indexes.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Computer proficiency, experience with Microsoft Word or similar word processing application. College level writing skills.
