Job summary

Southern Arkansas University Tech is seeking an Institutional Services Assistant to perform daily cleaning and upkeep of campus buildings. This on-campus role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 6 months to 1 year of related cleaning experience.

The position supports a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement while adhering to state employment policies. Applicants must be willing to relocate if not within commuting distance of Camden, AR.

• Six months to one year related cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning classrooms, including floors, chalkboards and classroom furniture on a daily basis.
• Cleaning restrooms on a daily basis.
• Cleaning carpets on a daily basis.
• Cleaning other general use areas on a daily basis.
• Setting up furniture in conference and meeting rooms as needed.
• Performing other cleaning duties as needed. This will include cleaning windows, doors, baseboard, dusting furniture, etc.
• Working in a cooperative and productive manner with other team members.
• Stripping and waxing floors.

The Institutional Services Assistant works under general supervision and is responsible for general cleaning and upkeep of buildings. This position is governed by agency/institution policy. Minimum/Preferred Qualifications

Certificates & Licenses

AR Driver's License

Background check is required.

Work Environment

The Institutional Services Assistant has frequent contact with other custodial workers.
