Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for a large number of persons or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Community college Certificate in Culinary Arts is acceptable for the position.
• Experience as an institutional or correctional cook is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and supervise inmates in the kitchen area.
• Ensure proper sanitation and ware washing.
• Oversee safety and training of staff and inmates in meal service.
• Maintain care and control of kitchen tools, equipment and utensils.
