Job summary

The GEO Group is hiring a food service supervisor who will oversee daily operations, supervise detainee food service staff, and ensure meals meet quality and safety standards. You will coordinate menus, orders, and storage while maintaining regulatory compliance across the serving line.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in a food service leadership role, strong interpersonal skills, and familiarity with warehousing or inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years managing a food service operation in a commercial, military, or institutional facility and 1 year related undergrad credits or training.
• 1 year warehousing experience preferred.
• Demonstrates effective personnel interactions, communication skills, and problem-solving techniques.
• Proficiency with computer systems preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation and cleanliness standards in quantity food production.
• Must be a US citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Review daily menus and order food and supplies.
• Supervise activities (handling, preparation, storage, equipment) and quality of finished product.
• Ensure serving line operates efficiently and temperatures meet regulatory controls.
• Decide what to discard and what to save for leftovers.
• Manage detainee food service staff, train them, and inspect performance.
• Ensure detainee and staff servers follow sanitation and safety rules.
