Job summary

Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare and cook meals for daily production, coordinate the handling of special orders, and ensure adherence to sanitation and infection control standards.

You will supervise kitchen operations in a rural Alaska setting, working with a team to deliver high-quality meals for patients and staff. A High School diploma and sanitation certification are required or eligible.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience in an institutional foodservice setting.
• Sanitation certification or eligibility to complete sanitation certification.
• Formal training in institutional food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food for daily production demands.
• Coordinate preparation, service, and delivery of special foodservice orders and catered events.
• Supervise and monitor sanitation and infection control procedures and standards.
