Georgia State University seeks an Institutional Research Associate for the Dean’s Office of the College of Education & Human Development on the Atlanta Campus. The role supports data governance, reporting, and institutional research across multiple systems and surveys.

Responsibilities include supervising the Graduate Advisor III, maintaining the PolicyStat system, data submissions for rankings, and handling TPMS and Banner-based processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience.
  • Proficiency with SQL dialects, including T-SQL (Microsoft).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Graduate Advisor III position and oversee advising operations, academic milestone tracking, workflow coordination, and support services for doctoral students within the College of Education & Human Development (CEHD).
  • Build, manage, maintain, and update the CEHD archival and policy management system using PolicyStat to support institutional document governance, records management, accessibility, and policy organization.
  • Update and manage doctoral form processes and workflows while leading efforts to transition approval systems to fully web-based and electronic processes to improve efficiency, tracking, and user experience.
  • Coordinate, prepare, validate, and submit institutional data for U.S. News & World Report surveys, including Online Master’s Program surveys and Graduate Program surveys, while ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and timely submission of institutional reporting requirements.
  • Perform batch uploads, maintenance, troubleshooting, and data corrections within the Georgia PSC Traditional Program Management System (TPMS) to support educator certification, teacher licensure, service programs, endorsements, and state reporting compliance requirements.
  • Manage semester faculty course evaluation processes including setup of evaluation populations, creation of Banner inclusion and exclusion processes, execution of evaluations and distribution of reports to dept chair and leadership.
  • Coordinate and manage assessment, survey, and reporting processes including Science of Reading (SOR) literacy assessment reporting, iCollege rubric assessment reporting, graduate and alumni surveys, and Dean’s Office leadership review reporting. Extract, clean, organize, validate, and distribute data from Qualtrics, Power BI, Banner, and related systems for institutional reporting and assessment purposes.
  • Respond to institutional data requests from faculty, staff, administrators, and program crdntrs for accreditation, grant reporting, program evaluation, reporting, and leadership needs.
  • Maintain and enhance Argos reports, schedule reports, automated reporting processes, and technical workflows. Provide training and support on institutional reporting systems including IPORT and Argos while participating in institutional data governance and process improvement initiatives in addition to triennial surveys.
