Job summary

HouseSmart Construction, a new division within Clayton Homes, seeks an Installer IV to own and execute the setup of single and multi-section homes. You will work hands-on on the jobsite, collaborating with the Crew Chief to keep projects moving smoothly and efficiently.

You’ll train and mentor junior team members while solving on-site challenges, from prep to finish. A strong background in various trades and a proactive, safety-first mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of residential, commercial, or industrial construction experience.
• Technical expertise across masonry, roofing, and related trades.
• Enjoys hands-on outdoor work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, team-first attitude and safety focused.

Responsibilities

• Work efficiently on the site across the setup process, independently or with the team.
• Assist with prepping and cleaning jobsites, roofing, basic masonry, electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Learn and operate heavy equipment safely and lead operations over time.
• Support training for new hires and Crew Chiefs in technical skills.

**HouseSmart Construction – Installer IV**### HouseSmart’s Installer IV role will be a team member that is knowledgeable of all aspects of the setup process for single and multi-section homes. This is a hands-on opportunity to own all construction tasks on the jobsite and help with the training and quality check of others. This is a role that collaborates with the Crew Chief to ensure that all pieces of the project are moving as efficiently and smoothly as possible.### ### **What You’ll Be Doing:*** ### Work efficiently and effectively in all aspects of the setup process, having the ability to work with a team or independently on the day-to-day. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, responsibilities with prepping and cleaning jobsites, roofing, basic masonry, various high-level electrical and plumbing tasks, etc.* ### Haven’t done some of these tasks before but have construction experience to help you learn these quickly? No problem – we’ll train you.* ### Safely learn to operate and eventually lead and own the operation of specialty heavy equipment.* ### Answer questions and help support the team’s growth.* ### Help train new hires and Crew Chiefs in Training on the technical skills of the role.* ### Problem-solve and proactively provide solutions to problems throughout any home install.### ### **When You’ll Be Doing It:*** ### Full-time, Monday through Friday### ### **What Could Make You a Great Fit:*** ### You have 4+ years of various residential, commercial, or industrial construction experience.* ### You are a technical expert within many areas of construction such a masonry, roofing, etc. and would like to expand your expertise.* ### You enjoy working with your hands and being outdoors.* ### You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with leaders to problem solve.* ### You have a positive attitude and always work to be a team player.* ### You have operated heavy machinery such as a skid-steer, tractor, backhoe, or a front-end loader and have a desire to operate specialized heavy equipment.* ### You are comfortable with heights (using/safely climbing a ladder) and crawl spaces and can lift up to 50 lbs.* ### You take pride in your work, working to always have high quality while always being as safe as possible.### ### **Why HouseSmart Construction?**### If you’ve never heard of HouseSmart Construction, it’s because we’re a new division within Clayton Homes.
