HouseSmart Construction, a division of Clayton Homes, seeks an Installer I in Oxford, NC to support manufactured-home setup on home sites. This outdoor, hands-on role reports to the Crew Chief and emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork while assembling and preparing sites.

The position is entry-level with hands-on training provided; candidates should be comfortable with tools, reading a tape measure, and traveling to job sites. Weekly pay and benefits are offered.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare home sites and materials by removing shipping wrap, storing exterior-use items, loading and unloading materials, and organizing tools and equipment.
• Support setup activities including removing tires, axles, tongues; installing vapor barriers; laying out work areas; building piers and foundations.
• Use hand and power tools safely and follow safety procedures.

This hands-on, outdoor role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality work, follows safety practices, and enjoys contributing to a hardworking team.The Construction Laborer works under the direction of the Crew Chief and supports a variety of site-preparation, setup, construction, and clean-up activities. **What You’ll Do*** Assist with the setup and installation of manufactured homes at assigned home sites.* Work alongside the Crew Chief and crew to complete construction tasks safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.* Prepare home sites and materials by removing shipping wrap, storing exterior-use items, loading and unloading materials, and organizing tools, equipment, trucks, and work areas.* Support manufactured-home setup activities, including removing tires, axles, and tongues; installing vapor barriers; laying out work areas; building piers and foundations; and assisting with masonry work underneath homes.* Use hand and power tools safely, travel to assigned job sites, complete setup and cleanup activities, and follow company safety procedures, operating standards, and Crew Chief instructions.* Perform other related duties as assigned. **What You’ll Bring*** Entry-level role with hands-on training provided; construction experience is a plus, not required.* Experience with hand and power tools and the ability to read a tape measure preferred.* Ability to work independently or on a team with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.* Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel to job sites as needed. **Physical Requirements*** Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and crawl underneath homes for extended periods.* Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.* Ability to safely perform physically demanding work in an outdoor construction environment. **Company Driving Requirements:** Some positions require employees to operate company vehicles and meet specific driving qualifications.
