Job summary

American National Insulation in Indianapolis is seeking a Journeyman to apply insulation, plaster, sealer and foam products on job sites under applicable CBAs; you’ll read blueprints, measure and cut to spec, and maintain safety on site.

This safety-sensitive, full-time role requires 18+ years of age and a valid driver’s license for company travel; daily local travel is required. Compensation is around $26 per hour, with overtime potential and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • If operating a vehicle for Company purposes, a valid drivers’ license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Install products per the collective bargaining agreement or project labor agreement.
  • Read blueprints and sketches; measure, cut materials to specifications.
  • Insulate, spray, plaster, trowel, seal, cover, wrap, staple, glue and fit materials.
  • Review daily work schedule; ensure truck is loaded with products, tools, equipment.
  • Complete vehicle safety and job site inspections.
  • Unload and stage material safely at job site.
  • Report safety, customer or quality concerns.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Other duties as assigned per CBAs.

Job Description

Your Responsibilities

As a Journeyman, you will be responsible for practicing best insulation practices and training insulation, plaster, sealer and spray helpers.

  • Install products as allowed by associated collective bargaining agreement and/or project labor agreement.

  • Understand blueprints and sketches. Measure, shape, and cut materials to specified measurements.

  • Insulate, spray, plaster, trowel, seal, cover, wrap, staple, glue and fit insulating/sealant/foam/materials.

  • Review your daily work schedule and ensure truck is loaded with all product(s), tools and equipment for the day.

  • Complete vehicle safety and job site inspections.

  • Safely unload and stage material at job site.

  • Report safety, customer or quality concerns.

  • Maintain a clean work area at all times.

  • Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned per the CBAs.

Travel Requirements

Type of Travel Required: Local; Out of town travel as required.

Daily travel to job sites.

Physical Requirements

Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted to load and unload various products. Climb, stoop, kneel, crawl, and stand to perform daily work and ladder climbing, as needed. This includes confined spaces and small areas.

Compensation Range

$26.24 - $26.24
