Responsibilities
- Assist with technical and mechanical integration projects, including basic and advanced signal flow, audio and video level calibration, and signal troubleshooting under guidance of the Lead Installation Technician.
- Provide mechanical support: install hardware safely following standards, load/unload and secure materials during transit.
- Support production: conduct room checks, dry‑runs, maintain a clean work environment, participate in improvement discussions, and report daily to the Lead Installation Technician and Production Manager.
- Engineering & Sales support: follow document control process for field mark‑ups.
- Maintain client interactions, assess site conditions, ensure safety training is current.
Physical Demands
- Heavy travel to client sites, often >2 hours from a Cenero office.
- Regular driving with a current driver’s license.
- Require sitting, using hands and fingers, standing, walking, and reaching; lifting up to 75 pounds; overhead work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.
Work Environment
- Varying sites: construction sites, professional offices, server rooms, and Network Operation Centers.
- 90% of work occurs at client sites primarily throughout the New Jersey/New York City Metro area, with 10% at Cenero offices.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience: High school, trade school, or college education and/or equivalent combination of education and experience; basic knowledge and hands‑on experience with AV equipment and/or general construction.
- Basic familiarity with VTC, ATC, networking software, and hardware; TCP/IP networking, switches, routers, and firewalls is preferred.
- Basic computer skills (Windows-based) and customer service experience.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, collaborative team‑centric mindset.
- Language Skills: Read, analyze, and interpret complex documents including product specifications, wiring diagrams, and architectural drawings; respond effectively to sensitive customer inquiries; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply principles of modern algebra and equations.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license with a minimum 3‑year clean driving record; Infocomm CTS certification (obtained within 3 years of employment start); Crestron DMC‑E required (obtained within 2 years); additional applicable industry certifications and training; maintain and/or acquire OSHA 10 hours construction within 3 months.

Compensation
The salary range for an Audio‑Visual Installation Technician can range from $21.50 per hour to $31.75 per hour. The actual amount will be within that range and will be determined by experience, location, technical certifications, and training completed. All health and wellness benefits begin on day one. No mandatory 90‑day waiting period.
