Job summary

Allegion is seeking an Install Technician for the Orlando Transit Project. You will install or service automatic doors, maintain records, and stay current with equipment changes. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift heavy loads, and a flexible schedule are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid state driver’s license without restrictions.
• Ability to lift 75-100 lbs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to sit while driving for periods up to 2 hours.
• Able to stand on concrete for up to 8 hours.
• Capable of occasional stooping, crouching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting.
• Vision at all distances and color perception.
• Willing to work in varying climates and a flexible schedule including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install or service doors and related equipment as designated, in a profitable and proper manner.
• Record productive time versus travel time and update job logs.
• Perform preventive maintenance as per the service program.
• Maintain accurate work records and parts used at each job site.
• Stay updated on changes to Stanley equipment and ANSI 156.10 standards.
• Keep manuals and details current as changes are communicated.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and property in good order.
• Present a neat appearance and professional workmanship at all times.
• Maintain adequate parts inventory and log inventory activity.
• Test equipment before leaving the job site and perform safety checks.
• Foster good customer relations and provide excellent service.
• Assist and instruct others in install/service methods.

What You Will Do:

• Perform installation or service work as designated in profitable and proper manner.
• Record productive time versus travel time.

• Assist and instruct others in install/service methods.

What You Need to Succeed:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver's license without restrictions.
• Ability to lift 75-100lbs.
• Excellent Oral & Written communication skills.
• Sitting while driving for periods of time up to 2 hours but not limited to.
• Standing on concrete for periods of time up to 8 hours but not limited to.
• Stooping, Crouching, Kneeling, Crawling, and twisting spine occasionally.
• Vision not limited to near, far or colors.
• Ability to work in various climates.
• Flexible work schedule is a must with the ability to work nights and/or weekends as necessary.
