Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking an installation technician to set up DirectAIR sites. You will read blueprints, install piping systems and equipment, and coordinate with contractors across various projects. The role involves significant travel (65–85%) and requires flexibility for occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude; training provided to develop skills.
  • Ability to read drawings and schematics or willingness to learn.
  • Willingness to travel approx. 65–85% of the time.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision and strong problem-solving.
  • Ability to work well with team members, customers, contractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
  • Collaborate with outside contractors to complete modules efficiently.
  • Install piping systems, air compressors, and related equipment.
  • Mount dampers, ductwork, and compressor accessories.
  • Cut and install prefabricated wall and roof panels per drawings.
  • Trim openings, doors, and roofs.
  • Install condensate tubing systems.
  • Finish concrete floors and bases.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver top-notch customer service and professionalism to customers, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Competitive Pay:This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $25.00/hr. to $30.00/hr., depending on experience and qualifications

What You'll Do

As part of our installation team, you'll play a key role in setting up our DirectAIR® sites. Your responsibilities include:

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
  • Collaborating with outside contractors to complete modules efficiently.
  • Installing piping systems, air compressors, and associated equipment.
  • Mounting dampers, ductwork, and compressor accessories.
  • Cutting and installing prefabricated wall and roof panels per drawings.

  • Installing condensate tubing systems.
  • Finishing concrete floors and bases.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Delivering top‑notch customer service and professionalism to customers, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need
  • Mechanical aptitude – if you have the ability and interest, we'll provide training and help you develop your skills.
  • Experience using tape measures, hand tools, and power tools (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to read drawings and schematics (or willingness to learn).
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 65–85% travel required).
  • Ability to work overtime, including weekends when needed.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and sense of urgency.
