Job summary

Allegion is hiring an Install Technician for the Orlando Transit Project. You will perform installation or service tasks at customer sites, record time, and maintain documentation and inventory while ensuring safety and quality.

You will stay updated on system changes and standards, keep vehicles and tools in good order, and deliver professional customer service. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and a flexible schedule

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license without restrictions.
• Ability to lift 75-100 lbs as part of service work.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation or service work in a proper manner.
• Record productive time vs travel time.
• Perform preventive maintenance per the service program.
• Keep accurate work records and parts used.
• Stay updated on changes to Stanley equipment and ANSI 156.10 standards.
• Maintain vehicle, tools, and inventory, and present a professional appearance.
• Test equipment before leaving site and ensure safety checks.
• Maintain good customer relations and assist others in methods.

What You Will Do:

• Perform installation or service work as designated in profitable and proper manner.
• Record productive time versus travel time.
• Perform preventive maintenance work in accordance with service program designated for specific customer.
• Maintain accurately all work records and parts used at each job in accordance with established procedure.
• Keep updated on all changes/modifications to Stanley equipment and Ansi156.10 standard as notified through published communications.
• Keep manuals and all details up to date as changes are advised.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and other property in proper manner.
• Present neat and clean appearance personally and in workmanship, in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain adequate parts inventory for service vehicle; keep inventory log.
• Test equipment before leaving job site; perform safety check.
• Maintain good customer relations and customer service.
• Assist and instruct others in install/service methods.

What You Need to Succeed:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license without restrictions.
• Ability to lift 75-100lbs.
• Excellent Oral & Written communication skills.
• Sitting while driving for periods of time up to 2 hours but not limited to.
• Standing on concrete for periods of time up to 8 hours but not limited to.
• Stooping, Crouching, Kneeling, Crawling, and twisting spine occasionally.
• Vision not limited to near, far or colors.
• Ability to work in various climates.
• Flexible work schedule is a must with the ability to work nights and/or weekends as necessary.
