Main Tasks:
- Conveying systems, solids and small particle handling equipment, dust abatement equipment, belt and screw conveyors, vibrating screen separators, compounders, mixing systems, cyclones, filters, rotary valves, feeders, scales, and bagging/packaging equipment.
- Conduct commissioning and start-up, assist programmers, provide client training, troubleshoot, and repair component and system problems.
- Perform instrument installation and calibration.
- Adjust, align, and calibrate equipment and machinery to optimal specifications.
- Assess, diagnose, and solve equipment performance problems.
- Perform rigging and lifting of all types of parts using a shop crane and forklift.
- Complete written records and maintain logs as required.
- Extensive travel for field service and support.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience as an Installation Supervisor or similar position.
- Ability to interpret and apply written and numerical information from electrical and mechanical plans, blueprints, schematics, sketches, and read pneumatic and electric diagrams, P&ID's.
- Ability to read technical manuals to understand equipment and controls.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures or dusty and noisy conditions while wearing safety equipment.
- Position requires frequent standing and walking, with occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, including standing or walking for 2-3 hours at a time for 10 hours.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to comply with company policies and procedures.
- Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills, with good communication to interface with clients and vendors.
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Independent self-starter, able to work unsupervised.
- Ability to travel within USA, Canada, and Latin America, and to obtain a passport.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and welding principles, with experience in fabrications using aluminum and stainless steel.
- Forklift operation skills (training available).
- Experience in electrical trades, such as panel wiring.
- Ability to review PLC code for troubleshooting and train clients in PLC & PRISMA control systems.
- Work experience related to pneumatic conveying systems.
