Job summary

Sidel is seeking an Installation Site Manager to oversee on-site activities at customer premises, leading a team of Field Service Engineers and ensuring deliverables meet requirements and Sidel processes.

You will proactively prepare on-site activities (FAT, SWP2, customer SWP) and manage installation, qualification, testing, and commissioning checklists, while maintaining HS&E compliance and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing on-site activities for capital projects.
• Experience in the beverage industry is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required; Spanish/Italian/French are assets.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Manage execution of on-site activities from installation start through project closure (CPE).
• Proactively prepare all on-site activities, including FAT, SWP2, and customer SWP.
• Ensure completion of installation, qualification, testing, and commissioning checklists and SOP adherence.
• Oversee HS&E on site and compliance with Safety Coordination Plan.
• Monitor status and deliverables; update SPOT tool and escalate deviations to Project Manager Execution.
• Act as main customer contact during on-site execution and lead daily progress reviews.
• Lead on-site FSE team logistics and resource allocation to meet deliverables.
• Review, authorize, and sign off on intervention worksheets for FSEs.
• Ensure on-site deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to satisfaction.
• Secure final acceptance of deliverables via sign-off of on-site activity certificates (Start-up, CAV, CPE).
• Lead root cause analysis and escalation for on-site issues.
• Oversee updates to as-built software and documentation on site and internally.
• Ensure compliance with statutory/regulatory requirements and Sidel governance.

Job description

Sidel is looking for an Installation Site Manager to manage the execution of on-site activities at the Customer premises, leading a team of Field Service Engineers (FSE'S), ensure deliverables meet stakeholders’ requirements and comply with Sidel processes. Actively drive the on-site activities preparation and needs definition (resources skill, means, HS&E) for the assigned New Equipment Projects to be executed, within the baselined cost and schedule. Your Mission

• Accountable for the execution of on-site activities from installation start through to project closure (CPE) for assigned projects.
• Proactively prepare all on-site activities ahead of installation, including FAT, SWP2, and customer SWP.
• Ensure completion of installation, qualification, testing, and commissioning checklists, as well as adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Responsible for Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) on site, ensuring strict compliance with the Safety Coordination Plan.
• Monitor and report on activity status and deliverables (HS&E, quality, cost, schedule), maintain updates in the SPOT tool, and elevate any deviations to the Project Manager Execution.
• Act as the main customer contact during on-site execution; lead daily reviews with the customer and Project Manager Execution and share progress reports.
• Manage the on-site FSE team, including logistics, and coordinate resource allocation or adjustments to meet project deliverables.
• Review, authorize, and sign off on intervention worksheets for both internal and external FSEs.
• Ensure all on-site deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to stakeholder satisfaction.
• Secure final acceptance of deliverables by stakeholders through sign-off of Sidel on-site activity certificates (e.g., Start-up, CAV, CPE).
• Lead root cause analysis and escalation processes for on-site technical issues.
• Oversee updates to as-built software and technical documentation, both on site and internally.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, as well as Sidel corporate values, governance, and processes.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in engineering (or equivalent experience) - asset.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing on-site activities for capital projects.
• Experience in the beverage industry is an asset.
• Strong technical background across mechanical, automation, electrical, and process disciplines.
• Knowledge of aseptic technologies and the Sidel portfolio is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required; Spanish, Italian, and/or French are considered assets.
• Technical expertise in at least one of the following areas: Mechanical, Automation (B&R, Siemens, Elau, Allen-Bradley), Electrical, or Aseptic systems.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 90%, including internationally.
