Role Description

The Installation Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Overland Park, KS. This position is responsible for installing, configuring, and testing audio visual and communication technology systems at client locations, ensuring all equipment operates according to design specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical diagrams, running and terminating cabling, mounting and connecting devices, and performing system start-up and verification. The technician will diagnose and resolve installation and performance issues, document service activities, and provide clear information to clients regarding system use and basic maintenance. The role also involves collaborating with project managers and engineers, maintaining tools and equipment, and following safety and quality standards on every job site.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and a focus on Customer Satisfaction.
• Hands-on technical abilities in Troubleshooting and Field Service for audio visual or low-voltage systems.
• Clear and professional Communication skills for working with clients, team members, and project stakeholders.
• Experience with installation of AV, networking, or related communication systems, including cabling, terminations, and equipment mounting.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics, and use standard hand and power tools safely.
• Reliable transportation to client sites in and around Overland Park, KS, and willingness to work on-site in varying environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or training in electronics, AV, or networking are a plus.
• Capacity to lift and maneuver equipment as required and to adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
