Job summary

Landscape Forms in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks an Installation Project Manager (Installation & Service Leader) to oversee installation projects from planning through closeout. You’ll manage schedules, budgets, field resources, and subcontractors while partnering with customers and internal teams to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

A strong construction PM background, ability to lead field teams, and willingness to travel extensively in the first 6–12 months are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
  • Significant PM experience in commercial construction.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Experience leading field teams and managing contractors/subcontractors.
  • OSHA 30 certification and valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel extensively during the first 6–12 months.

Responsibilities

  • Lead installation projects from planning through closeout.
  • Own project schedules, budgets, installation resources, and execution to keep projects on track.
  • Lead development of installation teams and coordinate with third‑party installation crews and subcontractors.
  • Manage subcontractor schedules, site requirements, and project expectations.
  • Review blueprints and installation docs to understand scope, sequencing, materials, and risks.
  • Participate in meetings with customers, Engineering, PM, Sales, Production and Supply Chain.
  • Address site readiness issues that could affect schedule, quality or cost.
  • Coordinate field activities including RFIs, change orders, punch lists, and closeout.
  • Serve as a key customer and contractor contact with clear communication.

The Installation Project Manager (Internally titled Installation & Service Leader) leads Landscape Forms installation projects from planning and site readiness through execution and closeout. You’ll oversee schedules, budgets, field resources, and subcontractors while partnering with customers and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to our quality standards.

Success in this role comes from a strong construction background, project management expertise, and the ability to lead teams in the field. You’ll anticipate challenges, keep projects moving, and bring the right people and resources together to deliver a successful installation.

Travel will be significant during the first 6-12 months as you learn our products, teams, and installation processes firsthand, with travel decreasing as you become established in the role.

How You Contribute
  • Lead installation projects from planning and site readiness through execution and closeout
  • Own project schedules, budgets, installation resources, and overall execution to keep projects on track
  • Lead and develop internal installation team members while coordinating a broader network of third-party installation crews and subcontractors
  • Manage subcontractor schedules, performance, site requirements, and project expectations
  • Review blueprints, project plans, specifications, and installation documentation to understand scope, sequencing, materials, resources, and potential project risks
  • Participate in project and pre-installation meetings with customers, contractors, Engineering, Project Management, Sales, Production, and Supply Chain
  • Assess site readiness and proactively address issues that could impact installation schedules, quality, or cost
  • Coordinate field activities including schedule sequencing, RFIs, change orders, punch-list items, and project closeout
  • Serve as a key customer and contractor contact throughout installation, providing clear communication and resolving project or field challenges
  • Ensure installations meet Landscape Forms’ expectations for safety, quality, workmanship, and customer experience
  • Establish goals and performance metrics and provide visibility and updates to leadership and key partners
  • Evaluate and improve installation processes to increase efficiency, consistency, and support continued business growth
Criteria For Success
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field
  • Significant project management experience in commercial construction, with strong knowledge of construction processes and active jobsites
  • Experience managing complex projects, including schedules, budgets, site coordination, and project documentationProven experience leading field teams and managing contractors or subcontractors
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and decision-making skills with a high level of ownership and accountability
  • Confident communicator, comfortable working with customers, contractors, field teams, and cross-functional partners
  • OSHA 30 certification and knowledge of applicable construction permitting requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively during the first 6-12 months, with travel decreasing as you become established in the role
