Job summary

STI Federal, an Equal Opportunity Employer, seeks a Community Planner at Eielson AFB to guide land use, infrastructure development, and investment strategies. You will analyze data, coordinate with stakeholders, and support decision making for installation assets and long-term development.

Responsibilities include leading planning initiatives, coordinating with BCE and FUB, and ensuring compliance with the IDP and Base Master Plan.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in community planning or related field.
• Experience: Analytical, conceptual, and technical planning work in infrastructure/land use.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain DoD security clearance if required.
• Environment: Office or lab setting.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert to the Facilities Utilization Board (FUB).
• Draft and coordinate FUB agendas with the Base Civil Engineer (BCE).
• Collect and analyze facility space and real estate requests.
• Prepare board materials and act as Executive Secretary when needed.
• Ensure proposals align with IDP and Base Master Plan.
• Review site/facility requests for land-use compliance.
• Assess utilization and recommend consolidation or optimization.
• Validate SRM/MILCON projects and issue siting approvals.
• Coordinate with tenant units and planning bodies.
• Develop and maintain installation planning documents and studies.
• Plan, budget, and execute asset management projects.
• Interpret planning data to guide development decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering, environmental, operations for challenges.
