Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking an Installation Supervisor to lead installation operations in a fast-paced environment, overseeing both employees and subcontractors on construction sites. The role focuses on quality, safety, and timely project completion, with responsibilities spanning planning, resource allocation, and performance management.

The position requires prior experience in building supplies and a certification in installation or related field.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school or three to four years related experience in installation of doors, windows, etc.
• Prior experience in building supplies industry required.
• Equivalency between education and experience allowed.

Responsibilities

• Manage a large workforce of employees and subcontractor labor.
• Visit job sites to ensure quality and on-time completion.
• Review installation orders and schedules to determine resources.
• Plan installation operations with priorities and sequences.
• Review reports and resolve problems to minimize costs and delays.
• Inspect machines and equipment for performance and utilization.
• Develop or revise standard operating practices and ensure compliance.
• Ensure safety procedures per OSHA regulations.
• Resolve worker grievances.
• Compile, store, and retrieve production data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
