Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a seasoned Installation Supervisor to lead the installation function, drive project on-time completion, and manage a team including subcontractors. You will monitor schedules, resource needs, and quality control at job sites to meet safety and cost targets.

The role requires experience in installation, a background in building supplies, and strong leadership to coach and develop staff while maintaining OSHA standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• One-year certificate from college or technical school or three to four years related experience in installation of doors, windows, etc.
• Prior experience in building supplies industry required.

Responsibilities

• Manages large workforce comprised of employees and sub-contractor labor.
• Visits job sites before, during, and after installations to ensure quality standards and timely completion.
• Reviews installation orders or schedules to ascertain resources necessary to complete project on time.
• Plans installation operations, establishing priorities and sequences for installed products.
• Reviews reports and resolves problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent delays.
• Inspects machines and equipment to ensure operational performance.
• Develops or revises standard operating practices and ensures compliance.
• Ensures safety procedures are followed, per OSHA regulations.
• Resolves worker grievances.
• Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
• Other duties as assigned.
