We are looking for an Installation Lead / Superintendent who will provide on-site coordination for all phases of installation of metal fabricated projects from start to finish, including coordinating material from shop and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, work is proceeding on schedule and within budget, and safety is being strictly enforced. The Installation Lead is responsible for schedule, inspections, quality control, and job site safety. The Installation Lead is expected to coordinate an assigned crew in all aspects of various installation projects in the Middle Tennessee area, and across the country when necessary. The Installation Lead demonstrates the mechanical aptitude, mathematical and literacy skills necessary to ensure all people under his/her supervision perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

SPECIFIC DUTIES OF THE JOB:

• Safety-focused leadership
• Understanding of trade related materials, components, equipment, systems, methods of installations, safety procedures and safe work practices
• Teaches and reinforces safety practices. Reacts properly to incidents/violations.
• Communicates well with customer representatives, internal departments, and peers
• Plan and schedule job assignments
• Forecasts material and equipment in advance to meet project requirements
• Ensures necessary equipment is setup properly and filled with fuel
• Drives, operates and maintains equipment
• Reads architectural plans and communicates with others involved in the design/fabrication/installation processes.
• Monitors labor and directs crew to meet project schedules
• Provides strong leadership to assure the accurate and timely submission of all paperwork
• Effectively runs jobs of any type, with strong problem solving skills
• Consults with upper management
• Leads, mentors and trains others
• Perform other project related duties and assignments as needed

Physical Standards:

• Position will require exerting up to 60 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body and operating machinery at heights up to 100 feet plus.
• Position is subject to both outside and inside environmental conditions. Employee may be subject to harsh weather conditions while on job sites.
• Work schedules include days, nights and weekend work.

This position requires an authorization to work within the United States and a valid drivers license accompanied by a reliable mode of transportation to and from work (including jobs that are not located at our shop).
