Job summary

Goodwin Brothers Shades LLC is seeking an Installation Technician to perform skilled installation on new construction sites and completed spaces. You will install vertical and horizontal blinds, motorized shades, and hardware while reading blueprints and working with standard tools.

The role requires proficiency with hand/power tools, safety awareness, and the ability to work up to 50 feet heights. This is a full-time position with local travel and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a junior carpenter or window treatment installer preferred; training offered.
• OSHA 10 certification is preferred; training can be provided.
• Proficiency in safe use of hand tools and willingness to learn products/installation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily installation tasks as directed by Lead Installer.
• Communicate with Lead Installer and team for on-site coordination.
• Install blinds and shades (vertical/horizontal) and related hardware.
• Safely operate drills, screwdrivers, laser levels, hammers, and measuring tapes.
• Read and interpret basic architectural blueprints for accurate installations.
• Maintain professional conduct and attention to detail to ensure quality and timeliness.
• Maintain daily punch list and report progress to Operations.
• Lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds; assist solo or in teams.
• Work on ladders/ platforms up to 50 feet; adhere to Safety First policies.
