Job summary

Guy Smith Home Services is seeking an HVAC Install Warranty Technician to diagnose and repair installation warranty issues on residential systems. You’ll work with a supportive office and field team, using diagnostic tools to ensure proper operation and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, warranty repairs, and documenting findings while maintaining safety and quality standards. A valid driver’s license and 1+ year of experience are required; opportunities for growth

• Test system performance after repairs to verify operation and performance.
• Use diagnostic tools to evaluate system operation and identify issues.
• Document findings, repairs, and recommendations in the service system.
• Communicate with homeowners, explaining issues and repairs performed.
• Coordinate with installation teams, service techs, and office to resolve recurring concerns and improve satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; follow safety standards.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 1 year of HVAC installation experience.

• Ability to pass a background check.

• Ability to safely operate a company vehicle and maintain a valid driver's license.

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

• A commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and customer satisfaction.

• Professional communication skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to accurately document work performed.

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC Journeyman license or equivalent advanced HVAC credentials.

• Three or more years of HVAC troubleshooting experience.

• Experience using MeasureQuick, Bluon, or similar HVAC diagnostic tools and resources.

• Residential HVAC service or warranty repair experience.

• Familiarity with HVAC manufacturer specifications, system commissioning, and installation quality standards.
