The role will cover the DFW area with minimal overnight travel, requiring strong technical skills and a commitment to safety and quality installation standards. Excellent customer service and the ability to work independently are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience installing security systems in a commercial setting.
• Proficient computer skills for communication, project planning and system programming.
• U.S. citizenship to meet government contract requirements.

Responsibilities

The Installation Technician position will be tasked to install, program and train new clients on Access Control, IP based CCTV, intrusion and fire alarm systems in commercial settings. This individual will only cover the DFW area with minimal overnight travel responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Install project devices and cabling.
• Provide testing and programming for equipment and systems installed.
• Responsible for end-user training.
• Uphold the highest installation standards in the industry.
• Provide daily updates to direct supervisor for scheduling purposes.
• Establish and communicate daily project installation goals with their team and the Project Coordinator.
• Identify and coordinate supply of special tools and or equipment for project completion.
• Understands and adheres to project timelines and associated hours.
• Ensure the project site is cleaned and secured each day before closing work.
• Ensures all safety requirements and PPE are utilized.
• Ensures RMA equipment is returned to the shop with the associated information.
• Additional duties may be assigned and functions may be modified according to business necessity.

Experience Required:

• 2+ years of experience installing security, low voltage/access control equipment, in a commercial setting.
• Proficient computer skills for customer communication, project planning and system programming.
• Experience with Software House, Honeywell ProWatch, Galaxy Controls, and Continental Access Control Systems, Avigilon IP based CCTV and Bosch and Ademco Intrusion Systems preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen to meet government contract requirements.
• A proven track record of similar success.
• Must have strong customer service skills and be able to apply tact, diplomacy, reason and logic to challenging situations.
• Must be a self-starter and can manage responsibilities without daily direction.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Pay range of $27-32+ per hour (depending on experience)
