Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a contract technician for an onsite role in Columbus, OH. The candidate will work in a physically demanding environment at a data center, pulling cables, stacking and drilling racks, labeling, and porting. Attendance and reliability are crucial as hours are long.

The position pays $20.00–$21.00 per hour, with benefits eligibility described for this temporary role. Candidates must be able to purchase their own safety equipment and commit to a Mon–Sat schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in a physically demanding environment (construction/maintenance, military, etc.) involving daily tool use
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential
• Excellent attendance and punctuality are strictly enforced
• Hands-on electrical work or military background has aided past offers
• Must be willing to purchase own safety equipment
• Willingness to work Monday through Saturday (≈58 hours per week)

Technicians will be pulling cable on site, stacking and drillings racks together, labeling, and porting.

Required Skills

• Must have experience working in a physically demanding environment (construction/ maintenance, miltiary, etc, working hands on with tools on a daily basis at minimum)
• Must have good attitude and work ethic
• Must have good attendance track record - attendance and being on time are strictly enforced
• Hands on electrical work or military experience have been largely successful in receiving offers in the past
• Must be willing to purchase own safety equipment
• Must be able to work Mon-Sat (58 hours per week for foreseeable future)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
