Job summary

DH Pace Company is seeking an Install Manager for our Des Moines, IA office to oversee the commercial door install department and lead scheduling, dispatching, and project management. The role emphasizes strong leadership, budgeting, and cross-functional coordination within a large, national organization.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of personnel management, and demonstrate excellent communication and a solid grasp of technical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the commercial door install department.
• Plan, manage, and implement schedules to meet daily customer commitments.
• Review workload and manpower to meet customer commitments cost-effectively.
• Ensure projects are completed timely, below budget and to customer satisfaction.
• Review monthly reports and develop action plans to improve performance.
• Improve field force performance through regular reviews and coaching.
• Assist with hiring, training and developing new employees.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the commercial door install department
• Plan, manage, and implement schedules to meet daily customer commitments and ensure that the plan is properly executed
• Review workload and manpower to meet customer commitments in a cost effective manner
• Ensure that projects are completed timely, below budget and to the satisfaction of the customer
• Review monthly financial/operational reports and work with front-line managers to develop action plans to improve
• Improve individual performance of the field force you manage through daily, monthly and yearly performance reviews
• Will assist with hiring, training and developing new employees
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, highly preferred and a minimum of two (2) years of experience managing personnel; an equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered
• Possess an ability for technical applications and mechanical systems
• Strong communication skills
• Must possess a Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
