DH Pace Company, a family-owned leader in doors, docking and security products, is seeking a Manager Trainee in Des Moines, IA. You will supervise the service and installation departments, coordinate scheduling, and guide projects from planning through completion.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of personnel management experience, plus strong communication and a technical mindset. This role offers growth opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of service and installation departments.
• Plan and schedule work to meet daily customer commitments.
• Review workload and manpower to meet commitments cost-effectively.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to customer satisfaction.
• Review monthly financial/operational reports and drive corrective actions.
• Conduct regular performance reviews to improve field staff performance.
• Assist with hiring, training, and development of new employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the service and installation department
• Plan, manage, and implement schedules to meet daily customer commitments and ensure that the plan is properly executed
• Review workload and manpower to meet customer commitments in a cost-effective manner
• Ensure that projects are completed timely, below budget and to the satisfaction of the customer
• Review monthly financial/operational reports and work with front-line managers to develop action plans to improve
• Improve individual performance of the field force you manage through daily, monthly and yearly performance reviews
• Will assist with hiring, training and developing new employees
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, highly preferred and a minimum of two (2) years of experience managing personnel; an equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered
• Responsible for communicating with customers to ensure satisfaction levels consistently exceed expectations
• Review customer survey data, respond to customer concerns
• Possess an ability for technical applications and mechanical systems
• Must possess a Valid Driver's License and good driving record
