Job summary

JK2 Scenic is seeking an Installer to lead install teams on job sites, performing hands-on installation, teaching and directing team members. The role reports to the Project Manager and Installation Manager to ensure safe, efficient completion and high-quality results.

You will interpret sketches and blueprints, measure precisely, and modify onsite as needed, while maintaining inventory and upholding company standards during all stages of installation projects.

Qualifications

• Study, understand and interpret sketches, blueprints, shop drawings and verbal instructions to fabricate/assemble/install a project.
• Read and understand work orders to ensure measurements/materials/processes are correctly used.
• Perform mathematical and geometric calculations including imperial/metric conversions.
• Measure accurately using tapes/calipers and other devices.
• Field measure and make onsite modifications as needed.
• Anticipate needs and plan work in an organized fashion.
• Lead by example and manage priorities to meet deadlines.
• Maintain inventory of materials, hardware and equipment.
• Care for company materials and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Handle projects of substantial variety and complexity requiring judgment.
• Work independently and set priorities.

Description

Performs as an Installer, leading install teams on job sites, to include hands-on installation, teaching and directing teams. This position receives production duties and direction from the Project Manager and Installation Manager. The position is responsible for making sure all carpentry and/or installation work is completed safely, efficiently, in a timely manner, and confirms the quality of the final product meets company standards

Requirements

• Study, understand and interpret sketches, blueprints, shop drawings, architectural drawings and verbal instructions to be able to fabricate or assemble and install a specific project or work order.
• Read and understand work orders to ensure that measurements, materials and processes are properly used in the fabrication process in the shop and during installation onsite.
• Solve simple and complex mathematical and geometric problems such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and area. Ability to work with fractional inches and decimals. Must calculate simple and compound angles. Ability to convert from imperial to metric and back.
• Measure accurately using measuring tapes, calipers and other devices.
• Field measure and make onsite modifications and adjustments as needed.
• Anticipate needs and plan ahead. Plan work in an organized fashion.
• Lead by example and manage priorities to ensure deadlines are met.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all assigned materials, hardware and equipment.
• Exercise proper care and use of company materials and equipment. Cleans and returns items to their assigned place.
• Maintain a clean, organized, efficient and safe work area.
• Work on projects of substantial variety and complexity, requiring considerable experience and judgement to plan and execute efficiently.
• Work independently, is self-sufficient and sets priorities.
