Lovington Municipal Schools seeks a Substitute Instructional Staff member to provide instructional experiences that are academically and developmentally appropriate within the classroom or other instructional setting.

The role requires NM substitute licensure or teacher licensure, willingness to follow prepared lesson plans, adapt methods, manage the classroom, and collaborate with staff to support student learning.

Qualifications

• Substitute Teacher Licensure or Teacher Licensure in New Mexico.
• Additional training upon employment as assigned by the District.
• Alternatives to the above qualifications may be accepted by the Superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Follow the lesson plans and activities as outlined by the regular staff member.
• Utilize varied teaching methods and resources for each area taught.
• Communicate with and obtain feedback from students to enhance learning.
• Manage the educational setting to promote positive behavior and safety.
• Follow board policies and administrative rules and regulations.
• Attend and participate in required faculty meetings.
