Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools is seeking a Preschool Teacher for Joyful Learning Academy Pre-K. The role reports to the Pre-K department and requires implementing developmentally appropriate early learning standards for four-year-olds.

Minimum salary range is $61,146 to $114,000 annually, with 190 scheduled days. A Bachelor's Degree and PSC certification are required; preschool teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate command of content being taught.
• Develop and prioritize instructional objectives based on early learning standards.
• Plan instruction as needed to promote student mastery of prerequisite skills and knowledge.
• Analyze student work and assessments to determine instructional needs.
• Follow district lesson plans to support instructional objectives of the early learning standards for all students.
• Use appropriate formative assessment strategies to evaluate student learning.
• Provide initial focus for the lesson and connect to prior knowledge.
• Organize content for presentation of the lesson in a logical sequence.
• Utilize effective early learning instructional strategies and methods of providing information for students to acquire the learning.
• Assess students' learning of the early learning standards and provide specific feedback to students and parents.
• Maintain an orderly classroom and manage transitions smoothly.
• Maintain professional responsibilities and act as a role model.
