Minneapolis Public Schools is seeking a Physical Education teacher for Pratt Elementary for the 2026-2027 academic year. The role focuses on delivering standards-aligned PE instruction and supporting student growth in fitness, skills, and knowledge.

Responsibilities include leveraging diverse teaching methods, collaborating with colleagues, and participating in ongoing professional development. Masters/PhD welcomed; teaching license required in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• Prior successful experience student teaching or teaching in an urban, multicultural education setting.
• Demonstrated continued professional development through course work, research, peer collaboration and/or job-embedded staff development.
• Master's or PhD preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide quality instruction aligned to the state and national standards.
• Use a variety of assessment strategies to inform instructional decisions.
• May work as a member of the campus STEM team to ensure integrated instruction across disciplines.
• Collaborate with peers to develop and implement best practices based on student needs.
• Assess students' needs and provide developmentally appropriate instruction.
