Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools seeks a Teacher, Physical Education for North High to provide quality instruction aligned with state and national standards. You will use diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments to guide instruction, and you will engage students in rigorous, inquiry-based learning while supporting a campus STEM team for cross-disciplinary instruction.

Responsibilities include implementing the curriculum, collaborating with peers, and communicating with families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• Prior successful student teaching or urban multicultural teaching experience.
• Continued professional development through courses, collaboration or job-embedded staff development.
• Master's or PhD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach to Minnesota State Standards and district Graduation Requirements.
• Use varied assessment strategies (diagnostic, formative, summative).
• Deliver rigorous, inquiry-based instruction and engage diverse learners.
• Collaborate with peers to plan and implement best practices.
• Communicate with families and engage community resources to support learning.
• Work toward district and site goals and participate in PDP.
