Job summary

Qualifications

• Four-year degree from an accredited teacher preparation program.
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with endorsement.
• Highly Qualified in Science (DI or DX), Grades 6-8 or 6-12.
• Demonstrated skill in oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Teaches District-approved curriculum.
• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students.
• Prepares for all classes assigned.
• Takes precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media.
• Assists administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct.
• Assesses students' progress and keeps records.
