Qualifications

• Must have a Technical Diploma or higher in a related field including the trades, Architecture or Civil Engineering OR Current Journeyman or Master Journeyman in any trade.
• Five years of full‑time or equivalent work experience in any trade, Architecture or Civil Engineering.
• Within last five years, at least one year of work experience or two years of teaching residential or commercial building inspector coursework at the post‑secondary level.
• One year of teaching experience equivalent to two semesters full‑time or four semesters part‑time per State guidance.
• Must hold at least one license to teach specified courses (Electrical Inspector license – BLDGIN‑593).

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and deliver instruction and related teaching activities.
• Manage the classroom/laboratory.
• Develop curriculum and monitor course effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
