Job summary

Champaign Unit 4 School District is seeking a Girls Wrestling Assistant Coach (Differential Position) for the 2026-2027 season. The role requires an IHSA coaching certification or an Illinois Professional Educator License, with a focus on developing student-athletes and promoting safety.

The coach must be able to work nights, holidays, and weekends and travel with the team to various locations for practices and events.

Qualifications

• IHSA coaching certification OR Illinois Professional Educator License
• Strong knowledge of the sport and ability to teach and develop student-athletes
• Ability to build relationships and serve as a positive role model for students
• Effective communication skills with students and adults
• Willingness and ability to work nights, holidays, evenings and weekends
• Willingness to travel with the team to different locations for practices/games, as needed

Responsibilities

• Coach Girls Wrestling in a differential position
• Attend practices and competitions as scheduled
• Support student-athletes in skill development and safety
• Collaborate with Athletic Director and coaching staff
