Job summary

Poudre School District seeks a dedicated educator to instruct students in Integrated Services/Special Education programs in alignment with curriculum and state standards. You will implement IEP goals, adapt supports, and collaborate with the team to promote student success.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, coordinating schedules, supervising paraprofessionals, and maintaining progress documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in an educational setting with students with special needs preferred.
• CPI training and CPR/First Aid certifications may be required or encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, prepare, and implement course content, format, structure, and schedule.
• Instruct students in large, small, and one-on-one settings across curriculum.
• Organize and facilitate schedules of students and paraprofessionals; assist in master schedule development.
• Assist in supervision and direction of special education paraprofessionals.
• Create a classroom environment maximizing instructional opportunities and manage student behavior.
• Monitor student learning and progress; evaluate approaches and adapt as needed; document progress.
• Communicate students' progress and needs with parents/guardians and staff.
• Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and outside agencies to promote student success.
• Participate in department, team, building, IEP/staffing, and district meetings and conferences; engage in professional growth.
• Attend work punctually and perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree with teaching licensure

Colorado teaching license with endorsements
