Job summary

Holy Trinity School in Wallingford, CT, is seeking a part-time Art teacher to educate Pre-K through Grade 8 in alignment with the Archdiocese of Hartford’s curriculum and values.

The role requires planning engaging lessons, maintaining weekly plans and progress notes, and actively communicating with families. The position offers a pathway for Catholic educators to contribute to a faith-based learning community.

Qualifications

• Meet the requirements of a 4-year bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum successful teaching experience of 2 years.
• Hold Teaching Certification.
• Be a practicing Catholic in good standing with his/her parish.
• Use a wide range of teaching methods to enhance each student’s learning abilities.
• Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children/have excellent communication skills.
• Have a positive attitude.
• Work cooperatively/collaborate with all other teachers and the principal.

Responsibilities

• Planning for and implement instructional methods which motivate and enable each child to achieve learning objectives.
• Establishing and maintaining the environment required to motivate and to enable each child to achieve learning objectives.
• Maintaining weekly lesson plans and progress notes that monitor student learning.
• Being diligent about documenting all incidents and noteworthy behaviors.
• Actively participating in all meetings and in-service trainings.
• Completing and responding to requests made by the Principal within 48 hours of a written request.
