Qualifications

• Valid NJ Instructional Certificate for English Language Arts Grades 5-8.
• Experience with anthology and novel-based instruction.
• Ability to model, teach, and assess writing expression.
• Knowledge of NJ Student Learning Standards for ELA.
• Knowledge of NJ state assessment specs for language arts (NJSLA).
• Ability to integrate technology to enhance instruction.
• Knowledge of Danielson's Framework for Teaching is a plus.
• Willingness to collaborate with the department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver English Language Arts instruction to middle school students (grades 6-8).
• Serve as a leave replacement with variable duration.
• Complete BOE approval process and maintain eligibility.
• Ensure criminal history clearance and compliance with district policies.
• Collaborate with ELA department to align instruction with standards.
