Job summary

The Catholic elementary school teacher will deliver instruction aligned with approved curricula, uphold Catholic values, and create a safe, engaging learning environment for students in grades K-5.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Current teacher certification in MD, VA, or DC (candidates have 3 years from hire to earn certification).
• Knowledge of child development and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons that align with Archdiocese of Washington Standards and Catholic mission.
• Deliver instruction using diverse strategies to meet all learners' needs.
• Differentiate instruction based on assessment data to support all students.
• Maintain a grade book and communicate progress to parents and administration.
• Uphold Catholic values in all interactions and duties.
• Perform non-instructional duties as required (carpool, recess, meetings).
