Job summary

St. Mary School in Rockville, MD, is hiring an Elementary School Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The full-time role reports to the Principal. Salary range is $45,000 to $50,000 with excellent benefits.

The teacher will deliver instruction aligned with Archdiocese of Washington standards, maintain a Catholic learning environment, and plan lessons that meet diverse student needs while upholding Catholic identity. Certification in MD/VA/DC is required within three years of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Current teacher certification in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC with up to 3 years to earn certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction aligned with Archdiocese of Washington standards.
• Create lesson plans aligned with curricula and Catholic mission.
• Differentiate instruction using assessment data to meet diverse student needs.
• Maintain a grade book and inform parents of progress and assignments.
• Foster Catholic identity and lead religion-related activities as applicable.
• Perform non-instructional duties (carpool, supervision, meetings).
