Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time LifeWise Secondary Education teacher for grades 6-12 who demonstrates in-depth Bible knowledge and strong teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, caring, and committed to using LifeWise curriculum.

The role includes completing required training, teaching LifeWise classes, maintaining records, and engaging with the community while promoting LifeWise's mission.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the "What We Believe" section of the the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map out curriculum customization
• Maintain accurate attendance records and class rosters
• Prepare lesson plans and materials for substitutes
• Establish a culture that fosters academic growth and spiritual development
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers and the program director
